Happy anniversary, Grandpa!

Today marks two years that Grandpa's faith has been sight.  I still picture him working in heaven's gardens with a brand new hard hat, but constantly getting distracted as he sees one of the disciples or other saints of old.  He's probably still asking questions.  :)

  1. Yes...how wonderful that he'll not be falling out of trees while pruning, or falling into gopher holes. I know for certain that he'll be reflecting on the love of his Savior today, and perhaps on how much his family here on earth love him, and will always miss him terribly. Questions?? Well...he had so many, it's difficult to say if they're all answered already, even before he had a chance to ask, or if the long list - of those myriads of questions - will be shortened any, at all, by the time the rest of us catch up to him!!

    1. He was a man with a vision, and dreams, a big heart, and very sensitive spirit. Most folks may not have seen the tender man inside. The other guy's needs were always greater than his own, even though toward the end of his journey here it became difficult to fulfill. But, continue he would, to give one more rock or book away, and one more copied article to share. I miss my father. I miss seeking his wisdom for questions I had. If he did not know the answer, he would run to his library to look it up, for me. He taught me to learn, to listen, to love, and to live. "Lord, thank you for choosing him to be my earthly father. I am most blessed

    2. Beautiful, Mom. I think of Grandpa every day when I see the books stacked on the floor next to my bookshelf because there is no more shelf space. Like grandfather like granddaughter? :) I'm so thankful us kids were able to grow up with Grandpa and Grandma such an integral part of our lives.
